Launching an Updated Design

Published on , in Front-end with no comments .

So after a year and a half I was more than fed up of my dark grey site. I intended on a re-design for some time but struggled to fit it around everything else I’ve been doing. After planning out the design I managed to spend a week which allowed me to get the majority of the work done and spent free periods of time over the next two weeks finishing it off. Finally, last Sunday, the site launched. The old, dull grey site was gone - replaced with a much brighter and flatter new site.

Functionally the site is mostly the same. The only difference is the new site uses infinite scroll style pagination and a few other things were refactored.

This was also the first time I’ve used Sass and Grunt JS in a project. I’m impressed by them both so I’ll write a follow up post on my set-up.

Let me know what you think of the re-design in the comments below.
